About the Role

CargoSense is proud to partner with Fairfax County Public Schools to offer meaningful internship experiences for the 2026–2027 school year. All interns participate in scheduled business education sessions led by company management, covering how a technology start-up is structured and operated — giving you a big-picture understanding of the business world that will serve you long after your internship ends.

Our technology provides GPS and sensor-based tracking solutions to some of the world's most valuable companies, spanning domestic and international markets and playing a critical role in global supply chains. As an intern, you'll gain hands-on exposure to both the hardware and business sides of a high-growth technology company.

  • Package and prepare partial and pallet shipments for dispatch

  • Receive and handle inbound shipments of hardware and supplies, including boxed and palletized deliveries

  • Support inventory management through counting, organization, and tracking

  • Disassemble deactivated sensors for return to the contract manufacturer for repair and rebuild

  • Assist in assembling field deployment items such as inventory carts

  • Operate 3-D printing equipment (training provided)

  • Some tasks involve occasionally lifting and moving items up to 40 lbs

Business & Research

  • Enter shipment and operational data into company software programs

  • Conduct market research on target industries and potential customers using a company-supplied Mac laptop

  • Use AI tools to assist with research and create presentations (company training provided if needed)

  • Assist in preparing materials for customer presentations and demonstrations

  • Create and prepare marketing materials for events and demonstrations

  • Support accounting and documentation filing
